We are proud to announce that Sterlington has been awarded a contract by the Wyoming Legislative Service Office (LSO). Our firm will advise the Wyoming Electricity Tax Subcommittee on legal and practical issues related to the potential implementation of a tax on electricity production.

Sterlington will provide legal expertise on electricity taxation, focusing on constitutional, legal, and practical concerns to meet the LSO’s needs. The project will assist the LSO and Subcommittee in making informed decisions, benefiting the state and its citizens as they review potential policy changes.

The team is led by Lisa Jerde Spillman, Partner in Investment Management and General Counsel Services, who has over 20 years of experience in regulatory and legal matters. Joining her are Robert Kantowitz, Partner and Head of Tax Practice with more than 40 years of tax law expertise, and Juan Diego Jiménez, Associate, with extensive experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.

We look forward to collaborating with the State of Wyoming on this project and supporting informed decision-making in electricity policy.
