Meet the Team

Paul Jebely

Partner and Vice Chair, International
Paul Jebely is widely regarded as the preeminent private aviation attorney in the world, trusted by a significant global clientele of ultra-high-net-worth individuals for his exceptional strategic insight, comprehensive expertise and commercial acumen.

Paul has cultivated a reputation that extends across continents, advising clients holding a total combined wealth of nearly $1 trillion and executing aviation deals totalling over $23 billion. Paul and his team have consistently demonstrated a mastery over the complexities of buying, selling, financing, leasing, owning, and enjoying private jets, alongside resolving any disputes that may arise. Around the world, Paul remains the first call for many multi-billionaires and their teams seeking an attorney who not only understands their needs but also possesses the authority and expertise to fulfill them.

High-touch yet rigorous in his approach and strategic in his execution, Paul is a dealmaker who knows his way through a dispute as well as he does around a negotiation table. He has become a defining presence in the private aviation sector, setting the standard for what it means to serve the world’s most discerning clients. His influence is not limited to transactions and disputes; he is a force in shaping industry norms and best practices.

Paul often serves as a wider strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients, who return to him repeatedly for his skill and discretion on matters far beyond private aviation. Paul notes: “My clients are the architects of empires, influencers on a planetary scale and builders of family fortunes, most often in the billions of Dollars. They demand and receive nothing less than exceptional, tailored services.

The Financial Times most recently noted Paul as a “[t]op private jet lawyer” and the most recently published client feedback from third-party research has described him as “…the Top Gun for ultra-high net worth aircraft owners”, and “…the billionaire whisperer”.

Prior to joining Sterlington with his team, Paul held senior leadership roles at several leading international law firms, consistently leading firms to new milestones in aviation law practice. He is also the founder of The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation (CAA), launched in partnership with the Netherlands Arbitration Institute. As chair of The Hague CAA, Paul leads a group of over 140 senior aviation and legal professionals worldwide.

He has received numerous awards and rankings including “Private Wealth Lawyer of the Year”, “Private Aviation & Yacht Lawyer of the Year”, “Aviation Trailblazer of the Year” and has been ranked Band 1 for Chambers & Partners HNW – Private Aircraft (Global) since the inception of the ranking in 2015.
