Richard Reice

Partner, Employment and Litigation
Richard Reice is a Partner in Sterlington’s Employment and Litigation practices, focusing on civil litigation and labor and employment law.

Richard is a seasoned litigator with a wide range of experience including in relation to the theft of trade secrets, non-competition agreements, breach of contract, wage and hour disputes, employee classification and prevailing wage concerns, defamation, ADA, Title VII, and ADEA workplace discrimination. He also has deep experience in ADR, litigating unfair labor charges, and grievance arbitrations.

Richard is also recognized as a thought leader in algorithm bias and employment discrimination concerning predictive AI tools used for resume reviews and promotion decisions. He is also an expert in gender discrimination, particularly involving gender identity. He drafts policies and consults with developers on issues related to access to employment and public accommodations for gender non-conforming individuals.

In addition, Richard regularly advises on corporate acquisitions and restructurings, regulatory compliance, employee relations, OSHA, and workforce management issues. He conducts a range of on-site trainings, including harassment prevention and workplace safety.

Richard is also a member of the American Arbitration Association employment law panel, and he is an active mediator and arbitrator.

Richard has been a partner at Greenberg Traurig and Seyfarth Shaw, among other firms. He was also formerly head of HR and labor and employment law for Frontier Telephone.

He is an honors graduate from the University of Michigan and received his law degree from the Benjamin A. Cardozo School of Law where he was a member of the Arts & Entertainment Law Journal.

He is recognized as a New York Metro Super Lawyer and an Employment Law Trailblazer. He is a member of the New York bar and an active participant in the International Bar Association.
