Robin Nunn
Partner, Litigation
Robin Nunn is a partner in Sterlington’s litigation practice. She has served as partner at several leading firms, including Linklaters; Morgan Lewis, where she was co-leader of the banking team; and Dechert, where she was chair of the consumer financial services group. She has also held senior in-house counsel roles at American Express and Capital One, and trained at Sullivan & Cromwell.
As a seasoned trial lawyer, she has litigated over 300 cases in state and federal courts. She brings over 15 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and high-profile disputes. Her practice spans a broad range of industries, including financial services and complex trust and estate and fiduciary disputes, as well as blockchain, crypto, tech, media, healthcare, and manufacturing.
She has represented clients in litigation involving fraud, securities, consumer protection, privacy and data security, anti-corruption, and mass torts, as well as in investigations and regulatory enforcement actions before bodies such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Department of Justice, and Federal Reserve.
Robin has received awards such as The Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Business and the GWAC Trailblazer Award. She has also been named a Minority Corporate Counsel Association Rising Star, a fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, a National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division Achievement Award finalist, and a recipient of a Pro Bono Publico Award.
Robin holds leadership roles in numerous organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Conference on Consumer Finance Law, and the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers. She is also a board member of Carver Federal Savings Bank and serves on the D.C. Court of Appeals Committee on Unauthorized Practice of Law.
Robin is frequently featured in media outlets such as Bloomberg Law, The Washington Post, and The American Lawyer, on topics ranging from artificial intelligence to corporate compliance. She earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and her B.A. from Dartmouth College. Robin is admitted to practice in New York, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
